McCain will now attack Obama Directly
The McCain team has woken up to the fact that they are trailing in the polls and need to do something quickly to recover the ground that they have lost. They are going to go after Barack Obama personally and use all the smears that the 527 groups have already been insidiously planting in the public mind over the past few months.

We can expect to see it alleged that Obama was willing to let babies who survived abortion die on the clinic slab, and that he has links to terrorism, in the shape of William Ayres, a former member of the Weather Undergound group which bombed the Pentagon back in the 1960s. That last charge comes courtesy of yet another group that has been attacking Obama for some time by questioning his judgement. The Daily Telegraph reports:
A group called the Judicial Confirmation Network has begun a $1m ad buy hinting that Mr Obama cannot be trusted to pick new justices for the Supreme Court. The basis for their charge is that he might select people like his incendiary pastor Jeremiah Wright, "who has blamed America for the 9/11 attacks", or the aforementioned William Ayers. They also point out that he chose as one of his first financial backers Tony Rezko, a slumlord now convicted on 16 counts of corruption.
The change of direction was signalled on Thursday when Sarah Palin accused Obama of being contemptuous towards American troops, a potentially lethal charge if it can be made to stick. "Some of his comments about Afghanistan and what we are doing there supposedly, just air raiding villages and killing civilians, that's reckless," she claimed.

So expect everything including the kitchen sink to get slung at Obama over the next four weeks. It's going to get dirty, folks!
