Have the British actually moved troops to the Iranian border?
Your friendly Exile fell out of bed expecting to find the media alive with the story that some 350 British troops have been moved to the Iranian border. Alas, this was not the case, and finding out any more information has proved impossible. That's not to say that the story is not being reported, because it is, but all the reports refer back to account in The Independent that we commented on yesterday.

So are British troops currently doing as their American masters want and provoking the Iranians, or was it a bit of disinformation? The Kings' Royal Hussars were told on Saturday that they were being shipped home. However, The Independent had it that they were the unit that was off on border patrol.

Something doesn't sound right, but only time will tell what it is.
